Kurd Eissfeldt

Kurd Eissfeldt (born December 4, 1900 in Wolfenbüttel ; † unknown) was a German forest scientist and SS leader at the time of National Socialism .

Life

Eissfeldt completed his school career at a humanistic grammar school in 1918 with the Abitur . From the beginning of July 1918 to the beginning of December 1918 he was deployed as an ensign in the final phase of the First World War in the Imperial Navy . Later he worked in a volunteer corps . From 1919 he studied forest science in Munich . This was followed by his doctorate in forest science. Eissfeldt finished his forestry traineeship in 1926 and then passed the state forestry examination. From 1928 Eissfeldt worked as a forester in Oebisfelde .

After the seizure of power by the Nazis , he was in August 1933 member of the SS (membership. 88140) and rose to in November 1944 oberführer on. He had already joined the NSDAP ( membership number 1.250.357) at the beginning of August 1932 . At the state ministry in Braunschweig , Eissfeldt was active as a forestry councilor from the beginning of July 1933 and was appointed head forester at the beginning of January 1934. From October 1935 he headed the state forest administration there. From November 1937, Eissfeldt was the personal assistant to the general forest master in the Berlin Reich Forestry Office .

After the outbreak of the Second World War , Eissfeldt headed the forestry department at the government of the Generalgouvernement from the end of October 1939, with the rank of Oberlandesforstmeister . He held this position until January 1945, from January 12, 1943 he held the title of President.
