The Kursächsische Postmeile Pillar Göhren is a listed Kursächsische Postmeile Pillar in the district of Göhren of the city of Leuna in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is listed as a monument under registration number 094 20535 .

General

The post mile pillar Göhren is a full mile pillar made in 1732, which was erected on the orders of King Augustus the Strong of Saxony and under the direction of Adam Friedrich Zürner . It is the only remaining remnant of a post mile column on the Saxon postal route Leipzig - Merseburg and was last turned upside down as a seat stone. After the rest of the post mile column was stolen, it was searched for in the official gazette and in other ways. In August 2018, the rest of the post mileage pillar reappeared. Today the remnant is back in Göhren on a small area in front of house number 1 on Dorfstraße near the previous location.
