Course on marriage (original title: Kire lained ; in German waves of passion ) is a German - Estonian silent film from 1930.

Movie

The first German-Estonian co-production premiered on October 10, 1930 in the Tallinn cinema Rekord . The first performance in Germany took place on October 17, 1930. The film is still preserved today.

The director was the Russian actor and filmmaker Vladimir Gaidarow (1893-1976), who also played one of the leading roles. It was the first directorial work by Gaidarov, who had worked as an internationally successful actor since 1917 and had lived in Germany since 1920. The screenplay came from the German author and director Max W. Kimmich (1893–1980). In particular, the performance of the Estonian actor Hugo Laur (1893–1977) was positively highlighted by the columnists .

The adventure film was shot in Estonia in the summer of 1930. The filming locations were mainly the area around Loksa , Võsu and Käsmu on the Estonian north coast. The studio work took place in Berlin . The Estonian border guards were also involved in the production. The kissing scene filmed in the park of the Tallinn- Maarjamäe castle in front of a small garden lighthouse went down in Estonian film history.

The film itself is described by contemporary critics as "international" rather than "Estonian".

action
