Kurt Brumme (* 7. February 1948 in Hohenziatz ) is a German politician of the CDU .

Life and work

From 1954 to 1964 Kurt Brumme attended the polytechnic high school in Lübars . This was followed by training as an engine fitter from 1964 to 1966 . 1966/67 he worked in this profession as a skilled worker for agricultural machinery. The basic military service in the National People's Army (NVA) followed in 1967/68 .

After two years of professional life, from 1968 to 1971 he studied at the engineering school for agricultural technology in Friesack (Mark). He finished his studies in agricultural machinery with a specialization in maintenance with an engineering degree . This was followed from 1973 to 1978 at the Technical University of Magdeburg and the University of Engineering in Berlin, a correspondence course in the field of mechanical engineering and agricultural machinery with a focus on manufacturing process design. It completed this course with a degree in engineering (TU). In 1983 he attended the engineering school for mechanical engineering and electrical engineering in Magdeburg. There he completed a degree with a focus on technology in the metalworking industry with a degree in mechanical engineering. In 1988/89 a postgraduate course in the field of production process control (PPS) followed at the Technical University of Magdeburg .

From 1990 to 1995 Brumme took over the management of the Altona-Elbe gear factory in Hamburg. In 1996/97 he completed an additional qualification in the field of sales and IT management and in 1997/98 he completed a business start-up course. Since 1998 he has been working as a freelance management consultant and in IT service.

He is married and has two children.

Political party

Kurt Brumme was a member of the SED from 1972 to 1982 . In 1982 he was expelled from the party for political reasons.

After reunification , he joined the CDU in the Lüneburg district in 1993. From 1996 to 2007 he was a member of the district board of the CDU Anhalt-Zerbst , then a member of the district board of the CDU of Dessau-Roßlau . From 1998 to 2008 Brumme was also chairman of the CDU local group Roßlau (Elbe) .

MP

From 1999 until the merger of Dessau and Roßlau on July 1, 2007, Brumme was a member of the city council of Roßlau. He was then a member of the Dessau-Roßlau city council until his resignation on September 30, 2008. Kurt Brumme was a member of the CDU in the district council of the Anhalt-Zerbst district from 1999 to 2005 .

From April 2002 to April 2011 Brumme was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt for constituency 27 (Dessau-Roßlau) . There he was a member of the Social Committee and was also a member of the Environment Committee.

Kurt Brumme was also a deputy member of the Tenth Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (police work) and of the Eleventh Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (landfills).

Brumme was also the health policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group in Saxony-Anhalt.
