Kurt Forke
Kurt Forke (born April 3, 1913 , † after 1951) was a German football player. He played with the SpVgg. Chub and with rotation Dresden in the 1940s and 1950s first division football.
Athletic career
From 1941 to 1944 Kurt Forke played soccer with the Döbeln sports association in the Gauliga Sachsen . In the competition for the Tschammer Cup in 1942 , he played both games of the Döbelner. In the first final round game against NSTG Prague , he scored three goals in a 4-1 home win. In the game of the second final round, Döbeln lost 3-5 at SV Dessau 05 , and Forke scored one goal.
After the end of the Second World War , Forke joined the SG Dresden-Mickten . At the age of 36 he won the Saxon soccer cup with Mickten in 1949 and the soccer championship in Saxony in 1950. In the decisive game for the championship on April 10, 1950 against SG Lauter , he was used as a center forward and achieved the 3-1 final score for SG Mickten. In the subsequent eight promotion games to the GDR Oberliga, in the course of which the SG Mickten was incorporated into the company sports community (BSG) Sachsenverlag Dresden, Forke scored three goals and Dresden won the promotion round. In the subsequent GDR-wide FDGB soccer cup competition , BSG Sachsenverlag reached the quarter-finals. With his five goals, Forke was Dresden's most successful goalscorer.
The Dresden team started their first league season in 1950/51 with the new name BSG Rotation and the now 37-year-old Kurt Forke. Forke was used for the first time on the 3rd matchday, he played in the match between BSG Rotation - EHW Thale (2: 3) as a half-left striker and scored his first league goal. Up to the 10th league game he was called up six times, then he was only used once in the second half of the season. The local derby rotation - SG Dynamo (0: 3) on April 4, 1951 was Forkes eighth and last league game. As in all previous games, he was back on the pitch as a striker. In his eight league games he had scored three goals.
