Kurt Fuß (born January 11, 1892 in Leipzig , German Empire , † March 22, 1976 in Hamburg , Germany ) was a German actor .

Life

The son of a merchant worked in theaters from 1912 and received an engagement in Magdeburg in 1913 . Fuß first made a name for himself as a tenor buffo and dancer in operettas, especially at the Metropoltheater in Berlin. He also appeared at the theater of Rudolf Nelson as a representative of the Roaring Twenties .

From 1918 onwards, foot occasionally appeared in silent films; with the dawn of the sound film age, its film offerings increased significantly. But shortly after the seizure of power by the Nazis, he was banned. From 1938 to 1945 he was an inmate of the Dachau , Buchenwald and Neuengamme concentration camps . He survived the deportation on the Cap Arcona .

After the end of the war, Fuß received film roles again, especially with Gyula Trebitsch . However, his roles remained small, including an actor in Der Hauptmann von Köpenick (1956).
