criticism

The lexicon of international film remarked succinctly:

“In the role of a ship steward, a singing fashion designer wins his intended millionaire's daughter. Schlagerlustspiel with a lot of slapstick. "

In the film sheets one could read:

"It babbles with little gags, numerous chansons and slightly cropped pinup pictures, so carefree and entertaining."

Pidax-Film spoke of a “timeless music film with the legendary Peter Alexander”, which was made “at the height of the film career of the unforgotten Viennese heartbreaker”. In addition to the title song, there is "once again a lot of good humor and wonderful hits to sing along with". Conclusion: “Carefree, smart entertainment, with typically cheeky humor from the pen of Helmuth M. Backhaus […]. A hit pearl in a class of its own. "
