Loni Heuser (born January 22, 1908 in Düsseldorf , † March 6, 1999 in Berlin ; actually Apollonia Henriette Heuser, sometimes also listed as Loni Heusser in some film credits ) was a German stage and film actress . As a singer and actress, she was a star in vaudeville and cabaret in Berlin before World War II . After her marriage to Theo Mackeben , she was also called Loni Heuser-Mackeben.

Professional

Loni Heuser was a highly regarded operetta star in her early years . She made her debut as an actress at the Theater am Nollendorfplatz in Berlin and, at the age of 24, celebrated great success in various Berlin revues and cabarets. In her film roles from 1950 (before she had two rather insignificant appearances in UFA films) she mainly embodied mothers, aunts, heirs, marriage dragons and Xanthippen . Also talkative frivolous ladies of the world, lovable, elegant and witty, were part of her repertoire . Loni Heuser played mainly in comedies and music films . In 1976 she had a great professional success in the musical Gigi in Berlin with Johannes Heesters , Christiane Rücker , Heli Finkenzeller and Bob Franco in the Theater des Westens .

Private

In the late 1970s Loni Heuser, who was married to the composer Theo Mackeben (1897–1953) from 1950 until his death, retired from the stage. Through her marriage, she was also a member of the German Composers' Association . Loni Heuser was buried at her husband's side in the Wilmersdorf cemetery in Berlin .
