Heli Finkenzeller
Heli Finkenzeller , actually Helene Finkenzeller (born November 17, 1911 in Munich ; † January 14, 1991 ibid) was a German stage and film actress whose great successes were mainly based on folk comedies.
Life
Heli Finkenzeller was the daughter of a Munich office supplier and began training as an opera singer before she turned to acting. She first attended the conservatory and from 1933 took acting lessons from Otto Falckenberg in her hometown of Munich and performed at the Münchner Kammerspiele. In 1935, she was then seen for the first time in the cinema, in the film comedy Ehestreik as the wife of of Hermann Erhardt played mayor. With the films Der Mustergatte (1937), Opernball (1939), filmed by Géza von Bolváry based on the operetta of the same name by Richard Heuberger , Kohlhiesels Töchter (1943) in the double role as Veronika and Annamirl Kohlhöfer and above all the film Schwank Das Bad auf der Tenne (1943), in which she played alongside her husband Will Dohm , she became known to a wider audience.
After the Second World War , Heli Finkenzeller often continued her film career in maternal roles. She played alongside Heinz Rühmann in the family comedy Postman Müller (1953) and in the classic filmed book by Erich Kästner Emil and the Detectives from 1954. In the film drama Ciske - a child needs love (1955 ), an award-winning film adaptation by Wolfgang Staudte , she played the role of Aunt Jans. She also played a key role in the film drama Suchkind 312 (1955), a film adaptation based on a novel by Hans-Ulrich Horster . In 1956 Finkenzeller took part in the comedy The First Spring Day by Helmut Weiss , in which Luise Ullrich , Paul Dahlke , Ingeborg Schöner , Matthias Fuchs and Angelika Meissner were her film partners.
On stage she was seen in the musical Gigi at the Theater des Westens in Berlin. She can also be heard on records with spoken and vocal recordings . Since 1965, the former UFA star has appeared in numerous television series, including Our Pauker (1965), My Sons-in-Law and Me (1969), The Commissioner (1974), The Dream Ship (1981 + 1990), The Bailiff (1981) and finally three years before her death in Lorentz & Sons .
Heli Finkenzeller was married to fellow actor Will Dohm . She died in 1991 of complications from cancer and was buried in the forest cemetery in Munich next to her husband Will Dohm. The couple's daughter is the German-speaking actress Gaby Dohm (* 1943). In addition, a son Michael Dohm emerged from the marriage.
