Today we go strolling is a German music and comedy revue in 1961. Directed by Erik Ode play Marika Rokk and Bibi Johns the lead roles.

action

Oskar Gessler has a big problem. The managing director of a house for baby equipment was once only entrusted with this top position because his American boss, Mr. Brown, generally only assigns executive positions to heads of families with numerous children. This is unwritten company law and with the products that one wants to sell to women, it is also a question of credibility towards the customer. But now Gessler is single and has always played the father of the family to his boss.

Then the bad news reaches him that Mr. Brown and his wife have announced that they will be visiting soon. Oskar feels compelled to trick his boss into having a wife and five children. A “wife” and family must be organized as quickly as possible. He therefore asks his former girlfriend Marika to help him out and play his wife for a while. He simply “borrows” five children from their colleagues. The cheating went well for a while, but soon Mr. Brown got the feeling that things weren't going right here. In the end, however, things come together to the usual happy ending.

Reviews

“Something from everyone and therefore nothing whole: family comedy, musical, revue. And a lot of German spirit. That is the predominantly silly mixture of comedy, performed by Eric Ode, if not very original, but with a lot of pizzazz. The actors are led by the tireless Marika Rökk, who still whirls around. "

- Hamburger Abendblatt dated December 16, 1961

In the lexicon of the international film it says: "Undemanding confusion, filled with the usual amount of hits, revue numbers and slapstick, but also with personalities, follies and embarrassing stirring effects."
