Fred Raul

Fred Raul ; actually Alois Greschitz (born March 20, 1910 in Allersdorf , Styria , † August 25, 1985 in Baden , Lower Austria ) was an Austrian actor and director .

Life

Fred Raul was the son of the guest and farmer born Alois Greschitz and his wife Maria. After graduating from high school and attending a theater school , she began working on the stage at theaters in Graz , Stettin , Augsburg and Leipzig . From 1949 he was engaged as a director and singer at the Landestheater in Salzburg . In 1956 he moved to the Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck and in the 1957/1958 season to the Raimundtheater in Vienna . In addition, he went on various tours with his future wife Marika Rökk .

Fred Raul also worked in some film and television productions . These included several feature films with Marika Rökk, each of which was directed by Georg Jacoby , Marika Rökk's first husband. So in 1957 Nachts im Grünen Kakadu with Dieter Borsche , Renate Ewert and Gunnar Möller , in 1958 the stage was clear for Marika with Johannes Heesters , Carla Hagen and Harald Juhnke and in 1959 the night before the premiere with Theo Lingen , Ursula Grabley and Wolfgang Lukschy . He was also featured in the 1958 crime film Dr. Crippen lives from Erich Engels with Elisabeth Müller , Peter van Eyck and Fritz Tillmann see.

Fred Raul was married to the actress and dancer Marika Rökk since 1968 , for whom he also worked as a manager. Both were buried in a common grave at the Helenenfriedhof in Baden .
