Schlagerraketen - Festival of Hearts , also spelled Schlager-Raketen , is a German hit film by Erik Ode from 1960 .
action
Camillo Felgen is a presenter at Radio Luxemburg and is currently organizing artists for his next ring broadcast, which will combine various European radio stations with live performances by pop stars. His secretary Nanette makes the phone calls with the singers and picks them up from the airport. During one such trip, Nanette meets the bank clerk Marcel, who breaks down his car in the rain and borrows a jack from her. She lends him the tool, but drives on to pick up Peter Kraus from the airport.
Marcel, whose sister Trixi would like to become a singer and is planning a gig in the New Orleans bar without her mother's knowledge , cannot forget Nanette. His little brother Christian gives him the idea to look for her not through an advertisement but through the radio. In fact, Marcel is allowed to look for the unknown beauty in Camillo's show, Schlagerfreunde , but sees her shortly afterwards in the recording studio. To his sorrow, Nanette doesn't want to know anything about him. After Marcel's radio appearance, Camillo, on the other hand, received so many letters that he decided to do a whole program that brought together couples who had long been separated. Marcel suggests calling the event the Festival of Hearts . Without further ado, Camillo hires him to organize the show and makes Nanette his right hand. She regularly ignored Marcel and made jealous of her numerous star acquaintances.
Trixi's first appearance is canceled when her mother finds out. She is now planning to sing in front of an audience for the first time at the Festival of Hearts , and her mother, who will be let in on time, agrees. After all, numerous artists appear at the festival, including Trixi, and many couples who have long lost sight of each other meet again. Some meetings go well, others not. Marcel, in turn, has to do with the stars and the couples the whole evening, so that Nanette becomes jealous and finally notices for himself how he must have felt so far. Both end up becoming a couple. Trixi's song in turn inspires her mother, so that the composer Peter, whom Trixi's mother had previously rejected, is now welcome in the family. He and Trixi come together with maternal approval.
