Married to the actor Kurt Vespermann , she withdrew more and more into private life in the thirties and devoted herself to the education of her son, the later actor Gerd Vespermann . Since she was considered a " half-Jewish ", she was excluded from the Reichstheaterkammer in 1937 . After the end of the Second World War, she took on a few small roles in German film productions and appeared again in Berlin as a theater actress, for example at the Renaissance theater . Occasionally she was also active as a voice actress, for example in the film Life and Death of Colonel Blimp .

She is buried in the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Cemetery in Berlin.
