action

The football-obsessed Willi Kuckuck, owner of a photo studio, is president of the 1. FC Jungborn football club. This club trains on a field of the farmer Butenbrink, which has been converted into a football field, whose purchase price is paid off in installments. The whole thing is financed by Willi Kuckuck or his sister Elvira, who lives in Brazil. She was married to a wealthy coffee plantation owner and became very rich as sole heiress after his death. For this reason she promised Willi Kuckuck's three daughters that they would each transfer DM 15,000 at their wedding. Since Willy Kuckuck mainly photographs newlyweds, it is not difficult for him to fake the weddings and withhold the money by manipulating the images behind the daughters' backs.

Even the last manipulation succeeds thanks to coach Turnegger's help. But then the dizziness threatens to be exposed because Cuckoo's sister announces her visit. Cuckoo can get his daughters and the supposed husbands to play happy couples more or less voluntarily. This turns out to be difficult, since two daughters are in a relationship and the alleged groom of the third daughter is not only married, but is also the father of an infant. When dizziness is discovered after all sorts of turbulence, Cuckoo's sister leaves furiously. Cuckoo is all the more surprised when his sister shows up at the supposedly last meeting of the association. She not only bought the place, but also signed Uwe Seeler, who was completely unknown to Willi Kuckuck, as a player for three years.

background

The exterior shots of the film were made in Bad Pyrmont , but the opening sequence was shot in Meersburg . The majority of the filming was carried out in Berlin-Wannsee : The exterior and interior views of the house of the Kuckuck family were made - as in the films The Gentlemen with the White Waistcoat and One of Us Two - in Hugo-Vogel-Strasse. After filming was finished, some scenes had to be dubbed. Since Erhardt was no longer able to do this due to his stroke on December 11, 1971, Klaus Havenstein took over this task in some scenes , so that Erhardt can be heard speaking in Havenstein's voice.

Reviews

“A film fun tailored entirely to the comedian Heinz Erhardt. Despite all the turbulence (and a guest appearance by the soccer star Uwe Seeler) a weak sequence of relevant puns and slapstick scenes in the style of the German cliché comedy. "

“The last film by Heinz Erhardt, who largely had to withdraw from the public after a stroke, is unfortunately one of the weaker ones. The gags are too flat, the actors act too clichéd and the guest appearance by 'Real Life' soccer star Uwe Seeler is quite embarrassing. "

"Everything except Heinz Erhardt is so incredibly miserable that not even he can save the film."
