action

Susanne Berger is a talented trumpet player and regularly performs in the evenings with her friend Walter Pfeil in a duet in the hot pavement jazz cellar . Music TV editor Herbert Petunius would like to “discover” them, but his boss is only allowed to work with male artists. Susanne's cousin Monika, who lives in a small Bavarian village and has dared to go to the big city for the first time, appears in the bar: she tells Susanne that both have inherited an alpine pasture.

The next day, Susanne, Monika, Walter and their mutual friend Heidi drive to the Alm to see everything on site. What they don't know is that the alpine hut has been used as a warehouse by a gang of smugglers since it was empty. Shortly before, the smugglers had captured the traveling musicians Peter and Paul, who had lost their way into the hut and immediately started consuming the food available in boxes. Inevitably, Peter and Paul have to join the gang, otherwise they would have to fear for their lives. The alleged smuggler Fred, who is actually a lawyer and finally wants to arrest the gang, joins the gang.

However, Susanne and her friends have no idea of the gang that is hiding in the basement of the hut. The new owners want to come back the next morning to clean up. They want to turn the hut into a dance bar. During the night, the gang tries to get the smuggled goods out of the basement, but fails because the required truck is intercepted by the police. You now have to approach the matter differently: The next morning, Susanne and her colleagues find Peter, Paul and Fred sleeping in the hut. All three pretend to be traveling musicians. You are now allowed to help with the renovation of the hut and make sure that the camp is not discovered.

The first dance event takes place in the evening and smuggler Krummblick, who is alone in the basement to be informed by radio of the boss about further developments, now comes upstairs disguised as a lost mountain climber. Walter, however, becomes suspicious because Fred, Peter and Paul seem to know Krummblick and Krummblick cannot say which mountain he last climbed. Walter warns Susanne, who, however, had previously struggled with his jealousy and now believes that he only wants the men out of the house. During the night Walter lies in wait outside the hut and soon sees the smugglers come to the house and fetch the goods from the cellar. He alerts the police, who arrest not only the smugglers but also the young women. Monika is able to escape and a short time later returns to Walter, who the next day initially unsuccessfully tries to get his friends out of prison.

Fred also escaped and is wanted in the newspaper. He contacts the head of the smugglers' gang Oskar and tells him that a raid is planned in the main camp. Oskar goes to his boss - it's Rehlein, the manager of the hot pavement . The police arrive at the bar, but Oskar and Rehlein escape. Only at the border are they caught as traveling musicians by Fred, who has since given up his cover.

Meanwhile, Susanne and her friends have been released from prison and Peter and Paul have also been shown to be innocent. Everyone celebrates a big party at the alpine hut, which Herbert Petunius also attended. He is now allowed to discover women, so that Peter and Paul have to fall back on a partial travesty in order to be engaged. In the end the couples find each other: Monika and Walter become a couple, Susanne and Fred find each other and Herbert also finds a new partner in Heidi.
