Thomas Alder

Thomas Alder (born January 1, 1932 in Murnau ; † May 6, 1968 in Munich ; born Anton Straßmair ) was a German actor .

Life

Alder was initially a musician in the band Violetta . After training to be an actor in Munich, he played at the Tübingen State Theater . In 1959 he got his first film role. He became known through the Edgar Wallace film The Red Circle . In the 1960s, he often played the type of the blonde sonnyboy in love films and the type of the smart detective in a white suit in crime thriller.

He played other roles in hit , western and adventure films . In some of his film works he stood in front of the camera with Vivi Bach . In the detective film The Curse of the Black Ruby , he played alongside the Thai star Chitra Ratana . This colorful German thriller adventure shows original scenes from the annual river parade with the participation of the Thai royal family.

By Horst Frank is narrated that Alder by suicide , and indeed died from a self-inflicted gas poisoning. He was buried in the Aising cemetery (city of Rosenheim ).
