action
Swimwear manufacturer Hugo Becker is outraged: the model draftsman Walter Thomas has been on the Adriatic for a long time, but so far has only brought in expenses and has not delivered a single draft. Becker's general manager Heribert Kindlein is supposed to move into the hotel disguised as a woman and monitor Walter. Walter has too much to do with female acquaintances on the Adriatic to concentrate on work. Not only is he dating the blonde Ingrid, but he has also started a relationship with the hotel director's daughter, Tina. Since he does not work, he does not receive a salary, so that he soon has high debts in the hotel. Ingrid tries to improve the situation by singing in the hotel bar in the evening. Due to lack of space, Heribert is quartered in Ingrid's room in women's clothes. On the first night, Heribert says goodbye, he'd rather watch Walter.
Hugo soon not only had professional problems, but also private ones: his daughter Renate had enough of boarding school life and fled. Hernandez di Castillo, a family friend whom Renate always called an uncle, sets out to look for Renate. He has realized that the girl has become a young woman and is already planning to marry Renate. On her way she meets the lawyer Joachim, who saves her from an intrusive driver and drives her to the Adriatic. Here Renate secretly enters her family's holiday home Villa Paradiso and soon sleeps deeply. Meanwhile, Walter has caused so much resentment with his affairs that he is thrown out of the hotel. Tina secretly gets him the key to Villa Paradiso, which is actually empty, and he goes to bed there too. Walter was secretly observed by Heribert, who in turn is being followed by Ingrid and Tina. Everyone gradually makes their way into the villa and the police become suspicious. All are arrested and questioned. It turns out that Heribert is a man and, as an authorized signatory, should supervise Walter. Ingrid is outraged that she almost spent the night with a man. Renate, in turn, can identify herself as a co-owner. Walter is only brought in for questioning later and believes that Renate is a poor girl. He now claims that he is engaged to her and that she is entirely innocent. He kisses her and both are allowed to leave the station.
For a while Renate leaves Walter in the belief that she is just a poor girl, until there is a fight between Walter and Hernandez di Castillo, who has tracked down Renate. Walter learns her true identity from him and is disappointed, since he believes that Renate was only joking with his ignorance. Walter wanted to set up a fashion show at which he wanted to show his bikini designs, which he developed under the influence of his love for Renate. Now he prefers to leave, but has changed his mind: Renate has started to work in the hotel to settle the damage that occurred in the fight between Walter and Hernandez. He feels guilty about leaving right now. Now everyone is preparing the fashion show. The bikini designs are eagerly sewn, even if the friends of the mannequins absolutely want to prevent the fashion show. On the day of the big show, at which Hugo Becker will also be present, the men steal the suitcases with the bikinis. Those involved suspect who is behind the robbery, but the suitcases are not found. Without further ado, Walter begins to paint the normal bikinis of his mannequins in order to represent the new models. While the mannequins are out and about on the catwalk, others bring the suitcases with the models that they were able to retrieve with cunning and trickery. The fashion show is a great success and Hugo wants to hire Walter. However, he only asks to clarify the differences with the hotel for him and leaves. However, Renate is already waiting for him in the car and a reconciliation and then an engagement take place. Hernandez di Castillo has found a new fiancée in Tina and Hugo is also engaged to Miss Habicht with his long-time right-hand man.
