Kurt Heindl

Kurt Heindl (born July 22, 1936 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian managing director and politician ( SPÖ ) at rest. Heindl was a member of the National Council between 1973 and 2002 .

education and profession

Heindl attended elementary school in Bernhardsthal from 1943 to 1947 and then switched to the Gänserndorf Realgymnasium , where he graduated from high school in 1955. Heindl then studied law at the University of Vienna and graduated in 1965 with the academic degree Dr. iur. from.

Heindl worked between 1955 and 1960 as a dispatcher for the ÖBB and between 1961 and 1986 in the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs . He was head of the courier service, head of the human resources department and deputy cultural attachée at the Austrian embassy in Paris. Between 1968 and 1970 Heindl worked as a press officer for the Mayor of Vienna and was then employed in the office of the Federal Minister for Trade, Commerce and Industry until 1973 .

Between 1981 and 1990 Heindl was a board member of Hofmann & Maculan Bauaktiengesellschaft, between 1990 and 1996 board member of Maculan Holding AG and between 1991 and 1996 member of the supervisory board of Maculan Industriebeteiligungs-GesmbH. Heindl was also a member of the supervisory board of Infra Beteiligungs-GesmbH from 1990 to 1996 and, from 1996, managing director of TPA Projektentwicklungs- und finanzberatung GmbH since 1996.

politics

Heindl was a union member and between 1959 and 1961 he was deputy chairman of the local group of the railway workers' union . Between 1960 and 1964, Heindl was local chairman of the SPÖ Bernhardsthal and from 1971 district party chairman deputy of the SPÖ Wien- Landstrasse . From 1986 he took over the function of district chairman.

Between November 26, 1973 and December 19, 2002, Heindl represented the SPÖ in the National Council. He was chairman of the finance and economic committees.
