Kurt Liese
Kurt Liese (born May 6, 1882 in Cosel / Upper Silesia , † December 15, 1945 in Hamburg ) was a German officer , most recently a general of the infantry .
Life
Kurt Liese joined the army on November 20, 1899 and initially served in the 66th Infantry Regiment. With the outbreak of World War I he was a captain and company commander in the 98th Reserve Infantry Regiment. I.a. he was awarded the Royal House Order of Hohenzollern and the Iron Cross II and I class.
After the war he was transferred to the Army and on December 1, 1933 with the rank of major general to head the Army Ordnance Office of the Armed Forces appointed. He held this position until February 28, 1938. His successor in office was Karl Becker .
On November 1, 1935, Liese was promoted to Lieutenant General and on April 1, 1937 to General of the Infantry . He retired from active service on February 28, 1938.
