Kurt Pohnke (born November 28, 1925 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

SpVgg Erkenschwick

Pohnke came in the 1948/49 season as a defender for SpVgg Erkenschwick in the Oberliga West , in one of five seasons as the highest German division. He made his debut on March 6, 1949 (20th matchday) in the 2: 3 defeat in the home game against STV Horst-Emscher . He played six point games and finished the season with the team in ninth place.

Prussia Munster

From 1949 to 1957 he then played for the league rivals Preußen Münster , for whom he made his debut on September 4, 1949 (1st match day) in a 5-1 win at home against Arminia Bielefeld and played all 30 point games in his premiere season.

In the following season he contributed with 29 point games to the best placement of the club in the Oberliga West. In second place, one point behind the West German champions FC Schalke 04 , the team qualified for the final round of the German championship . In the championship, which was held in two groups, he played all six games in Group 2 , which were finished tied with 1. FC Nürnberg ; the better goal quotient was the decisive factor for participation in the final. The final held on June 30, 1951 in the Berlin Olympic Stadium in front of 80,000 spectators against 1.
