Kurt Vogelsang

Kurt Vogelsang (born August 4, 1925 in Gadderbaum ; † October 5, 2015 ) was a member of the German Bundestag for four terms from December 13, 1972 to February 18, 1987 . He was elected in the federal elections in 1972 , 1976 and 1983 on the state list of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) in North Rhine-Westphalia . In the federal election in 1980 he won the direct mandate in the constituency of Bielefeld .

Life

Vogelsang trained as a toolmaker and joined the SPD in 1950 after participating in the war and being imprisoned. As part of his membership of IG Metall , he was the first authorized representative of its administrative office in Bielefeld from 1963 to 1981. During his membership in the Bundestag, he was Parliament's child representative . In 1995 he received the ring of honor of the city of Bielefeld.

Klaus Vogelsang was named in No. 43 of the information on disarmament (the "Campaign for Disarmament" [KfA]) from mid-February 1967 as the contact person for the KfA's regional committee Ostwestfalen / Lippe (Bielefeld).
