Kurt Zernig
Kurt Zernig (* 1967 in Carinthia ) is an Austrian botanist . Its botanical author's abbreviation is " Zernig ". For many years he was chairman of the RosaLila Panthers .
Life
After high school in Sankt Paul im Lavanttal , Zernig completed a degree in botany at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz . 1993/94 study visit to Colombia . He has worked at the Universalmuseum Joanneum since 1997 , currently as deputy head of the life sciences department . His activities include the scientific supervision of the collections of fern and flowering plants , documentation and research on the flora of Styria , botanical tours in the area, as well as the concept and implementation of exhibitions.
Since the mid-1990s, Zernig has been committed to the RosaLila Pantherinnen , the only Styrian association of the LGBT movement, of which he was finally chairman from 2008 to 2012. Zernig lives in a registered partnership with Thomas Ehrlich.
