Kurt von Kries

Kurt Georg von Kries (* 17th October 1848 on Good Friedenau , district Thorn , West Prussia ; † 28. March 1929 in Thorn ) was Prussian Landschaftsrat and politicians.

family

He came from a Thuringian family, mentioned in Lehesten around 1600 , and was the son of the landowner Konrad von Kries (1814–1886), landlord of Friedenau, and Marie von Götzendorff-Grabowski (1820–1887).

Kries married his cousin Anna von Kries (born September 27, 1855 at Gut Osterwitt; † February 11, 1941 in Thorn), daughter of the royal Prussian councilor Friedrich , on November 4, 1875 at Gut Osterwitt ( Schwetz (Weichsel) district , West Prussia) von Kries (1816–1890), tenant of the royal domain ( manor ) Osterwitt, and Elise Grolp (1825–1883).

His nephews were the Prussian politicians Georg von Kries (1863–1922), member of the Prussian manor house , and Wolfgang von Kries (1868–1945), member of the Prussian House of Representatives and later of the Prussian state parliament .

Life

Kries was a royal Prussian lieutenant , later a Prussian councilor, legal knight of the Order of St. John and a member of the Prussian manor house.
