The von Lüschwitz family (also Löschwitz) was a Franconian noble family with origins in the Saxon region.
history
The von Lüschwitz family was originally a Saxon family. They were established in the knightly canton of Gebürg from 1575 to 1728 with the manor ( Burg Schlossgarten ) in Glashütten . They were also located in Wolframshofen (district of Kastl in the Tirschenreuth district in Upper Palatinate ), Streit and Frankenhaag (district of Mistelgau ), according to Biedermann . Erhard Christoph von Lüschwitz was apparently the first Lüschwitzer in glassworks and also sat in Ronneburg in eastern Thuringia.
The von Lüschwitz zu Glashütten family had owned Plankenfels Castle since 1629 . Gerhard Christoph von Lüschwitz sold the manor with the castle - now referred to as a manor - in 1649 to the lords of Schlammersdorf .
You were several canons of Naumburg and Meißen in the 13th century, of Bamberg and once of Würzburg in the 14th century . There were also two nuns in Himmelkron in the 14th century .
They were related to the following genders, among others: Laineck , Lindenfels , Lüchau , Redwitz , Streitberg , Wirsberg .
The von Lüschwitz family died out in the 18th century. The fiefdom fell back on the Margraviate of Brandenburg-Kulmbach .
