The von Streitberg family was a Franconian noble family that died out in 1690 and was matriculated in the knightly canton of Gebürg .

origin

The family of Streitberg was called after the village Streitberg , now a district of the municipality Wiesenttal in the Upper Franconian district of Forchheim . The Streitbergers are believed to have built the Streitberg Castle before 1120.

The coat of arms of the von Streitbergs originally shows a hand sickle. The crests of Johann Siebmacher contained already in the beginning of the 17th century gemehrtes arms, quartered with sickle and lion alternately.
