La Condamine ( Monegasque A Cundamina ) is a district ( French quartier ) in the Principality of Monaco on the Côte d'Azur . It has an area of 0.3 square kilometers (29.58 hectares) and borders the Monegasque boroughs Monaco-Ville , Fontvieille , Jardin Exotique , Les Moneghetti , Ravin de Sainte-Dévote and Monte-Carlo .
The municipality is located around the port of Port Hercule (Port de Monaco). The start, finish and pit lane of the Circuit de Monaco , where the Monaco Grand Prix takes place every year, and the Stade Nautique Rainier III swimming pool are located in La Condamine.
history
According to the constitution of 1911, the principality was divided into three communities. One of them was La Condamine. The other two were Monaco (Monaco-Ville) and Monte-Carlo. The community was dissolved as early as 1917. Since then, Monaco has only consisted of one municipality.
