La Galinière is a former commune in the Bouches-du-Rhône department . Today it belongs to the municipality of Châteauneuf-le-Rouge .

The hamlet is located northeast of Châteauneuf-le-Rouge and northwest of Rousset , about halfway between the two places. La Galinière is a little north of the D 7N. At La Galinière there is a small forest with an area of ​​around 50 hectares.

Duration

In 1790 La Galinière became a municipality in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, initially under the name Lagalinière . In 1801 this was changed to Galinet or La Galinière . It belonged to the canton of Trets and the Arrondissement of Aix . As early as 1819, La Galinière was incorporated into Châteauneuf-le-Rouge.
