La locandiera (German: The landlady ) is a dramma giocoso in three acts by Antonio Salieri based on a text by Domenico Poggi based on Carlo Goldoni's play of the same name La locandiera (German: Mirandolina ).

The premiere took place on June 8, 1773 in the Vienna Burgtheater . The piece had some success; so it was presented soon after the premiere in Prague, Warsaw, Florence, Dresden, Copenhagen, Graz and Pressburg, partly also in German translation. In Paris the work was staged in Viotti's Théatre de Monsieur in 1792 ; Luigi Cherubini wrote five alternative interludes especially for this performance.

The first modern (but heavily abbreviated) revival of the Locandiera took place in November 1989 under the direction of Fabio Luisi in Lugo. The production was released as a live recording. Another staging of the opera took place in Spoleto in 1992.
