Lachlan Frear (born October 6, 1996 ) is a New Zealand ice hockey player who has been playing again at the Southern Stampede in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League since 2017 .

Career

Lachlan Frear began his career as a hockey player with the Southern Juniors , for which he played in the New Zealand junior league NZJEL until 2014. In the season 2012 he was first used by the Southern Stampede in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League . In his first season he won the main round of the league with the club from Queenstown , but was only runner- up after a 5-6 final defeat after penalty shoot-out against the Canterbury Red Devils . Three later he was able to win the championship with the team through a 2-1 series of finals against the same opponent. He then moved to league rivals Dunedin Thunder , but returned to the Stampede after a year and won the championship again with the club in 2017.

International

In the junior division, Frear was on the ice for New Zealand at the U18 World Championships in 2012 and 2013 and the U20 World Championships in 2014 and 2015 in Division III.

With the men's national team , he took part in the World Championship of Division II 2016 for the first time.
