Ladislav Ferebauer

Ladislav Ferebauer (born October 25, 1957 in České Budějovice ) is a former Czechoslovak cyclist .

Athletic career

Ferebauer developed into a specialist in stage races during his career . However, he first started cycling with cyclo-cross races . He was a member of the Rudá hvězda Plzeň association in Pilsen . He made his first appearance for the Czechoslovak national team in the 1976 GDR tour (winner Siegbert Schmeißer ), which he finished ninth. In 1978 he won the traditional Lidice Tour in his home country and came second in the Tour de Bohemia . He was able to win the latter a year later as well as in 1980. During the 1979 tour he wore the jersey of the front runner after the first and up to the last stage. He was a participant in the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow and was classified as 37th in the road race. His greatest successes were celebrated in 1981 with overall victories in the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour and the Tour of Morocco . In 1982 he was placed second in the Tour of Slovakia and fifth in the Tour of Luxembourg . Until 1986 he denied other tours for the national team (such as the Tour of Poland , the Tour de l'Avenir , the Tour of Cuba ) and won a few stages. He took part in the International Peace Tour five times; his best result was 10th place in 1983 . In 1983 he started at the UCI Road World Championships and was classified 32nd in the amateur road race .
