The Lago di Viverone ( Piedmontese Lagh ëd Vivron ) is a northern Italian lake in the Piedmont region near the town of Viverone , after which it is named.

It is 5.8 km² and lies at an altitude of 230 m between the provinces of Biella and Vercelli and the metropolitan city of Turin in a landscape of moraine hills. The south and west sides of the lake are largely natural and green, while the north and east sides are built up, including hotels, campsites and beaches.

The fauna is largely determined by ducks , mallards , coots , grebes and gulls ; You can fish for lavaret , perch , tench , pike and catfish .

The area around the lake was already settled in the Bronze Age, there were stilt houses on the lake shore .
