Karl Tscherning

Karl Heinrich Tscherning (born January 6, 1875 in Heilbronn ; † December 28, 1952 in Heilbronn- Böckingen ) was a German architect and municipal building officer who worked as a town planning officer in Böckingen.

In Tschernings hometown Böckingen more today than were his plans cultural monuments under monument protection standing buildings erected, including the new Böckinger Cemetery (1905) with the cemetery chapel , the Villa Heuchelbergstraße 89 (1905), the Catholic rectory (1906) and the expressionistic Böckinger water tower of 1929, which is considered to be the landmark of Böckingen.

In 1907 the Methodist Chapel was built in neighboring Sontheim according to his plans .
