Methodist Chapel (Sontheim)
The Methodist Chapel in Heilbronn 's Sontheim district at Hofwiesenstrasse 10 is an eclectic sacred building. As a cultural monument , the chapel is a listed building .
description
The chapel was built in 1907 according to plans by Karl Tscherning . It has neoclassical window crowns with a geometric decor.
It is an eclectic sacred building in which the architectural styles of neo-Romanesque and neo-classicism merged. The arched frieze on the gable side and below the entablature at the roof approach may be considered Neo-Romanesque .
As of November 2016, the chapel was no longer used for church purposes and was empty. After renovations, which also included a narrow extension made of wood, glass and metal on the west side, the building has been used as an architecture office since May 2020.
