Lambi or Lamba ( Danish name : Lamhauge ) is a place in the Faroe Islands in the south of the island of Eysturoy .

The place belongs to the municipality of Runavík and has about 133 inhabitants (January 1, 2013). The zip code is FO-627. The name of the place is derived from sheep breeding and originally meant lambs pasture.

Lambavik Fjord

Lambi is located on the Lambavík fjord on an isthmus facing the Skálafjørður fjord . In the Lambavík on New Year's Eve 1707 the Norske Løve , a merchant ship built in 1704 for the second Danish Ostindisk Kompagni , sank . Although many dives have been made afterwards, the wreck has not yet been located. A pot of gold is suspected on board.
