Æðuvík
Æðuvík [ ˈɛavʊvʊik ] ( Danish : Avevig ) is a place in the Faroe Islands on the southern tip of the island of Eysturoy .

The village takes its name from the eider ( Faroese : Æða ) and vík , the word for bay. So Æðuvík means eider duck bay .
The place was founded in 1897 . The old local thing place Tinghella used to be at this place . The spot can still be seen today: It is located not far north of the village, directly by the sea and can only be reached via the water.
