Then it came to Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen and there to the Hohenzollern Obervogteiamt Beuron . The Obervogteiamt Beuron became part of the Oberamt Wald in 1830 , which in turn became part of the Oberamt Sigmaringen in 1862 , which had belonged to the Prussian Hohenzollern Lands since 1850 . In 1973 it came to the municipality of Beuron and the district of Sigmaringen .

The Langenbrunn pumping station is one of the two pumping stations of the water supply association on the right of the Danube . The water comes from the Großschmiedebrunnen and the Langenbrunn well. The karst water collects in the limestone layers of the Upper Jura . The water is distributed up to the Ablachtal between Neuhausen in the west and Vilsingen in the east.

Another small private pumping station ( 48 ° 4 ′ 24 ″  N , 9 ° 0 ′ 43 ″  E ) supplies Werenwag Castle with drinking water. The little house formerly connected to an oil mill is the remainder of the mill that was demolished in the middle of the 20th century. Until the year 2000, the old pump was operated with the help of the water power of the overflow (overflowing water) of various springs and the Großschmiedebrunnenbach in the pond to pump spring water into the castle, which is 200 m higher. The pump system has now been electrified.

Attractions

  • Werenwag Castle is located directly above Langenbrunn .
  • Langenbrunn's double-hinged arch bridge over the Danube was also known. However, this was replaced by a concrete structure in 2005. Preserving the old bridge was not possible due to the high costs. The old bridge also only had a load-bearing capacity of 7 tons. Agricultural machines, as they have recently been used in the Danube Valley, have a multiple weight and damaged the old bridge so much that it had to be replaced by a more stable one. According to reports from local residents, the northern foundation of the bridge was hit by an aerial bomb in the spring of 1945, causing the northern arch to fall into the Danube. However, the bridge was repaired in the first post-war years by building a new foundation.
  • The St. Walburgakapelle in Langenbrunn is a late baroque church with a three-part facade. Its restoration was completed in 2004.
