Lanthanum bromide (LaBr 3 ) is the salt of the rare earth metal lanthanum with hydrogen bromide . It crystallizes hexagonally ( space group P 6 3 / m (space group no. 176) , a = 797.13 pm , c = 452.16 pm) and forms colorless crystals that are hygroscopic . Template: room group / 176
