history

In 1959 Ursula Ida Lapp and her husband Oskar Lapp founded UI Lapp KG to manufacture and sell their invention, Ölflex , the first industrially manufactured flexible control cable with color coding. In 1979, the first foreign branch was established in the USA. As a result, the company became a global player and one of the world's leading providers of integrated solutions and branded products for cable and connection technology.

The company manufactures products from four product areas: cables and accessories, industrial connectors, system solutions and communication technology.

In the area of ​​cables and accessories, connection and control cables , drag chain cables, cables for servomotors , temperature-resistant cables, as well as data, LSN and bus cables are offered. The industrial connector area produces rectangular and circular connectors , as well as assembly systems for electrical and communications engineering , measurement, testing and control technology, mechanical engineering and device technology. There are also automation products for Profibus and Interbus applications. As system solutions, the company offers customer-specific individual system solutions from development to production to logistics and services.
