The Lapuanjoki ( Swedish Lappo å ) is a river in the Finnish landscapes of southern Ostrobothnia and Ostrobothnia .
The Lapuanjoki has its origin in the lake Sapsalampi south of Alavus . From there it flows in a northerly direction, flowing through the lake Alavudenjärvi and the place Alavus. Then he takes on the tributaries Töysänjoki , Kuivasjoki and Kätkänjoki . It continues its course in a northerly direction and flows through Lake Kuortaneenjärvi . In Lapua the Nurmonjoki meets the Lapuanjoki from the left. Further north, the Kauhavanjoki joins the Lapuanjoki from the right. The Lapuanjoki passes Alahärmä and Nykarleby and flows into the Gulf of Bothnia after a total distance of 170 km .
The catchment area covers 4122.1 km². The mean discharge is 34 m³ / s.
