Lara Andriessen

Lara Petra Andriessen , b. Range (born April 1, 1956 in Berlin-Wedding ; † September 3, 2011 in Pirna ), was a German writer . She was best known for her autobiographical texts, in which she tried to process experiences from her past.

Life

Lara Andriessen was born in 1956 as the daughter of a police officer and an employee. She has an older sister and a younger brother. In her biography she describes having suffered from her abusive and violent father. She attempted suicide when she was eight and ran away from home when she was thirteen.She lived for some time as a street child in Berlin, was picked up by her parents from the police and taken to a home for difficult-to-educate girls, from which she finally broke out.

At the age of fifteen, she left home for good. She was with a building contractor during her three year training as a nurse , but the relationship ended in drama of jealousy, alcohol and a fight. The court sentenced the man to three years and two months in prison without parole.

At seventeen she moved from Berlin to the Palatinate and worked as a luxury prostitute . A wealthy suitor named Carl quit her job and married her in 1976. This marriage, which divorced in 1995, had three children. From 1997 to 2001 she trained in Reiki .

In the book The Self-Chosen Exile , she reported about one of her sons, who, like his mother, is said to have been conceived in a rape . The boy is autistic .
