Lara Rahel Keller (born April 13, 1991 ) is a former Swiss soccer player who played in 37 international matches for the Swiss women's national soccer team.

Career

Keller started her career in the youth team of FC Erlinsbach and later moved to the youth boarding school of FC Baden. Keller played for the youth teams of Baden until 2006 and switched to SK Root in the summer. There she started a year later, in the 2007/08 season, her professional career in the National League A at SK Root .

On January 8, 2013, Keller signed a contract with the German Bundesliga club FSV Gütersloh 2009 , for which she played ten league games by the end of the season. After the descent of Gütersloh, she announced her move to league rivals FF USV Jena on May 30, 2013. During the pre-season season, however, she tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee in a training game and was out for several months. On May 11, 2014, after a nine-month injury break, she made her debut for Jena's second team of FF USV Jena in the game against FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin in the 2nd Bundesliga North , before she played against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on the last matchday of the 2013/14 season played her first Bundesliga game for Jena. After Keller only played 16 games for FF USV Jena due to an injury, she announced her departure from Jena in May 2015. She then signed with FC Zurich Women . On December 28, 2016, at the age of 25, Keller announced her retirement due to a sports disability .

National team

Keller has been a Swiss national player since 2010. She took part with the Swiss U-20 national team in the 2010 U-20 Women's World Cup in Germany . She previously played in the U-17 and U-19 national teams of Switzerland.
