Larisa Andreea Iordache ( / laˈrisa andˈreja jorˈdake / ; born June 19, 1996 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian gymnast .

Career

At the European Championships in Brussels in 2012 , she won gold on the floor and in the team competition and silver on the beam.

At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, she achieved the bronze medal behind the Olympic champions from the USA and the second-placed Russians in the team competition with the Romanian women's squad.

At the European Gymnastics Championships in Moscow in 2013 , the then 16-year-old Romanian won the most medals with a gold, a silver and a bronze medal.

At the 2014 European Gymnastics Championships in Sofia in May , she again won the most medals for women with two gold, one silver and one bronze medal.

At the 2017 World Gymnastics Championships in Montreal, she sustained an injury to the Achilles tendon on her left foot and subsequently had to be operated on three times. She was unable to take up any more training until February 2019.
