The 31st Men's European Gymnastics Championships and the 30th Women's European Gymnastics Championships took place from May 14th to 25th, 2014 in Sofia . The venue was the Armeec Arena with a capacity of 12,470 .

First of all, the women determined their titleholders from May 15 to 18, and the men's competitions were held from May 21 to 25. After the European Women's Gymnastics Championships in 1965, the Bulgarian capital hosted the continental title fights for the second time.

The most successful nation was Russia with a total of ten medals and five titles. The most successful athlete was Denis Abljasin with four gold medals. In the women's category, the Romanian Larisa Iordache won the most medals with two gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
