European Gymnastics Championships 2002

The 2002 European Gymnastics Championships took place for both women and men in Patras , Greece . The 24th European Women's Championships were held from April 18-21, followed by the 25th Men's European Championships a week later from April 25-28.

Women

Once again Russia emerged from the competitions as the strongest nation with a total of seven medals. The Netherlands achieved podium places again for the first time in 39 years and were able to secure six medals. The United Kingdom won the very first medal .
