The 29th European Women's Gymnastics Championships were held from May 10th to 13th, 2012 in Brussels . The 30th Men's Gymnastics European Championships took place from May 24th to 27th, 2012 in Pérols near Montpellier .

Romania became the most successful nation with a total of eight medals and five titles. The most successful athlete was Louis Smith with one gold and one silver medal, the most successful athlete was the Romanian Larisa Iordache with two gold and one silver medal.
