Carlotta Ferlito (born February 15, 1995 in Catania , Sicily ) is an Italian gymnast . She took part in the Olympic Games twice.

Career

Career

She started doing gymnastics when she was six years old. In 2007 she moved to Milan to continue her training there.

In 2009 Ferlito took part in the high school in Doha . In the all-around competition she was sixth with 53,950 points. She won the silver medal on the balance beam.

In April 2010 she took part in the European Gymnastics Championships in Birmingham . At the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore she was part of Italy's squad. In the all-around competition she was third with 55.350 points. With 13,700 points in the jump she also won bronze and was sixth on the uneven bars. Her best result was the silver medal on the balance beam with 14.825 points.

2011-2014

In April 2011 she took part in the European Gymnastics Championships in Berlin . Ferlito finished second on the balance beam with 14,500 points. In October of the same year she took part in her first world championships in Tokyo . In the team all-around competition, the Italian team finished ninth and thus missed qualifying for the Olympic Games.

In 2012 she took part in the qualifying competition for the Olympic Games in London. Italy finished first, qualifying for the London Olympics . She herself was first on the balance beam.

At the European Championships in Brussels , she was third in the team all-around match with Italy.

In London at the Olympic Games , she finished 21st in the all-around competition with 55.098 points. With the team she came in seventh.

In 2013 Ferlito took part in Moscow at the European and World Championships in Antwerp .

2015/2016

In 2015 she took part in the World Cup and qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio.

At the Olympic Games in Rio she was twelfth with 56.958 points in the all-around competition and did not reach the final with the team.
