Sebastian Krimmer (born June 21, 1990 in Backnang ) is a German gymnast .

Sebastian Krimmer is a sports soldier and lives in Backnang. He starts for MTV Stuttgart and is trained by Valeri Belenki and Uwe Billerbeck . His special devices are the parallel bars and the pommel horse . Krimmer was already successful as a junior. At the European Youth Championships in Lausanne in 2008 , he won the bronze medal with the team and was also the title holder of the pommel horse at the German Junior Championships.

In 2009 Krimmer switched to the men in the performance area. At his first World Championships in London he was 23rd on parallel bars and 26th on pommel horse. In 2010 he won the team bronze medal behind the teams from China and Japan in the German team in Rotterdam at the World Championships with Philipp Boy , Fabian Hambüchen , Thomas Taranu , Eugen Spiridonov and Matthias Fahrig . At a World Cup in Doha , he took second place on the horse. The individual European championships 2011 in Berlin were successful . He reached fifth place on the pommel horse. The 2011 World Championships in Tokyo brought the team a sixth place, in the individual all-around competition he only reached 226th place. At the European Championships 2012 in Montpellier , Krimmer finished sixth with the team and eighth on parallel bars.

Krimmer has also been participating in national competitions since 2009 and was ninth in the all-around competition at the German championships. A year later he was runner-up on the pommel horse, in 2011 on the parallel bars and again in 2012 on the pommel horse. In 2012, he also came third on parallel bars and bars . Because of his achievements in the national Olympic qualification, in which he finished first in the first competition and third in the second competition, he was nominated for the Olympic Games in London .
