Oleh Jurijowytsch Wernjajew ( Ukrainian Олег Юрійович Верняєв ; born September 29, 1993 in Donetsk , Ukraine ) is a Ukrainian gymnast and Olympic athlete (2016).

Career

His greatest successes to date are winning the gold medal on parallel bars at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and winning the 2014 world championship on the same device. At the summer games in Rio he won the silver medal in the individual all-around.

His hometown club are the "Armed Forces of Ukraine" and he has been doing gymnastics with TG Saar since 2014 .
