Larry Fuller

Larry Fuller (born July 14, 1965 in Toledo ) is an American jazz pianist ( mainstream jazz ).

Live and act

Fuller grew up in Toledo, Ohio , and received jazz support from saxophonist Floyd "Candy" Johnson at a young age and performed regularly in the Midwest (Ann Arbor, Detroit). From 1988 to 1993 he accompanied Ernestine Anderson as pianist and musical director and moved to Seattle . From 1994 he was in the Jeff Hamilton Trio and from 2000 he was in the trio of Ray Brown (and thus the last pianist in the trio until his death in 2002). During the transition from Jeff Hamilton to Ray Brown, an album was released under his own name ( Easy Walker , on Pony Boy Records) with Jeff Hamilton and Ray Brown in a trio. From 2005 to 2013 he played in the guitarist's quartetJohn Pizzarelli and in 2013 he founded his own trio. In 2014 his album Larry Fuller (Capri, with Hassan Shakur on bass, Gregory Hutchinson drums) was released, followed by Overjoyed (2019, with Hassan Shakur and Lewis Nash ). Fuller lives in New York.
