Larry Junstrom
Larry Junstrom (born June 22, 1949 in Jacksonville , Florida - † October 6, 2019 ) was an American southern rock bassist with the band 38 Special . He was also a founding member of the southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd .
Junstrom was the bassist for Lynyrd Skynyrd from 1964 to 1970. He was succeeded by Greg T. Walker, who later became famous as the bassist for the band Blackfoot . He left the band in 1972 and now Leon Wilkeson , who became known to the public as bassist Lynyrd Skynyrds, joined the band. Donnie Van Zant , the younger brother of Ronnie Van Zant , founded the band 38 Special in 1975 , which Junstrom joined in 1977.
